Integrating Search Results

There are several ways of integrating search facilities in your site, ranging from embedding an Associate search box, to becoming a fully integrated Search Partner. Mirago can deliver just paid-for listings or web results topped by paid listings.

Once you have registered as an Associate or Search Partner you will receive a user name and password for the Associate Management Area. Using this you can access the Developer's Toolkit, which has documentation and code samples for the most common Servers and Scripting Languages. It also has an area devoted to integrating results in Channels and Directories.

There are three basic levels of Search Integration:-

Search box on your site, we render the results.

My site can generate more than 6,000 searches per month.
I just want to display a search box on my site.
I don't want to implement server side scripting on my site.

This option provides a quick and easy way of adding a search facility to your site. There are a choice of search box templates which you can implement or modify in the Developer's Toolkit.

Both the search box and the results are rendered from your site.

My site can generate more than 60,000 searches per month.
I want to display results within the pages of my site.
I operate server side scripts or executables on my server(s).

You can take the results in XML format and display paid for listings with or without web results, in the same style as the rest of your site. In the Developer's Toolkit there is full XML documentation and code samples which demonstrate how to pull XML results from the Mirago site and integrate it into one of your own web pages.

Customised results pages.

My site can generate more than 60,000 searches per month.
I would like Mirago to host customised results pages on their site.
I would like to embed formatted results in my pages.

If you require hosted or formatted results and you are a high traffic site, ring 01420 592345 or email associate@mirago.com and let us know your requirements.
